For 30 years now, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has been providing drivers with comfort and capability on the road. The 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the best model so far, and it has various trims that will appeal to different drivers.
Laredo
The Laredo is the Grand Cherokee’s base trim. Starting at the exterior, you’ll find roof rails, heated and powered side mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lights, and a rear lip spoiler.
On the inside, it’s just as pleasant, with premium cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a digital 10.25-inch gauge cluster, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen. The infotainment system has wireless smartphone integration to keep you connected. Meanwhile, the driver’s seat is 8-way power adjustable, and the steering wheel tilts and telescopes as needed to keep you comfortable.
The Driver Aids
Some of the Laredo’s driver aids include:
- Rear parking sensors
- Adaptive cruise control
- Forward collision warning
- Auto emergency braking
- Blindspot monitoring
- Rear cross-path detection
Limited
The Limited has LED fog lights, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a remote trunk release. On the inside, you’ll find leather-trimmed upholstery, heated front seats and steering wheel, voice-controlled navigation, and a premium six-speaker Alpine audio system.
The Limited’s Uconnect touchscreen is larger than the Loredo’s at 10.1 inches. Remote start is also included for this trim.
Overland
The Overland’s exterior has even more premium features than the Limited. With this, you get 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a hands-free power liftgate. Inside, there are cooling and heating front seats, heated seats in the back, ambient LED lighting in five colors, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
Summit
Finally, the Summit comes with a Gloss Black painted roof that sets it apart from the other trims. Like the Overland, it has 20-inch alloy wheels but with a unique design. Inside, the comfort features are better than ever. The heated and cooled front seats have massage functions, and they’re 16-way power adjustable with settings to let them remember your favorite positions.
You can upgrade the interior using the Summit Reserve package, adding a wooden trim on your steering wheel and dash, a 19-speaker McIntosh Labs audio system, quilted leather upholstery, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen on the passenger side. The exterior is upgraded with 21-inch alloy wheels when you opt-in for this package.
The Safety Suite
Also included for the Summit is an upgraded safety suite, which includes the following:
- 360-degree surround-view camera
- Head-up display
- Drowsy driver detection
- Traffic sign recognition
