Being conscientious about the environment isn’t always easy. With so much to worry about during that day, taking better care of the earth might be the last thing on your mind. That’s not to say it isn’t important—being aware of the choices we make to ensure the longevity of the place we call home is now more important than ever. And sometimes, help comes from people who we might not expect.
The newest devotees of going green are none other than Jeep, Ram, and Dodge. While these brands have a long and storied history of providing power, prestige, and performance—plans are underway for a line of environmentally friendly hybrid models of the cars and trucks that have always set a high standard for consumers.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE
Expected as early as next year, The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE is the first to enter production. While some models are still a few years away from rolling off the assembly line, Jeep’s newest addition to its growing fleet maintains the brands’ dedication for providing raw power while being a safer choice for the environment. Utilizing a turbo charged 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 375 horsepower and 470 lbs. of torque, this new Jeep will not compromise performance as it embraces environmental responsibility.
Electric Ram 1500
Ram trucks have a prestigious reputation to uphold and the 1500 will be joining the 4XE as one of the new hybrid options. While production isn’t set to begin until 2024, the new 1500 is already making guarantees that it will leave the competition far behind. With estimated ranges measuring from 300 to 500 miles, this is a step ahead of the Ford F150 Lightning, which maxes out at approximately 300. Plans for a full range of options will be available by 2030.

EV Charger and Challenger
The terms ‘muscle car’ and ‘hybrid’ have up until now been a contradiction of terms. In quite possibly one of the most ambitious moves in the modern automotive market, two of the most recognizable names in Dodge’s history will be getting the hybrid treatment. Slated for a release in 2024, these hybrids will still maintain the performance that’s been long associated with them. An entire generation of speed demons will take to the road all the while exuding lower emissions to prolong the life of the environment.
