The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Adds Some Extras You'll Love

It would seem obvious that a vehicle like a Jeep would benefit from a diesel engine, especially for hauling, or off-road traveling. But, it took a while for a diesel engine to become available. Now that it’s here, the diesel provides a worthy alternative to the gasoline engine.

Diesel Engine

The diesel engine in the Jeep Wrangler is the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 from the 2020 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel model. The Wrangler’s diesel has 260 horsepower and 442 lb-feet of torque; the engine is to be available for four-door vehicles. An eight-speed automatic is the only transmission available with the diesel. And, the diesel is available on the Sahara, Sport, and the Rubicon.

Gasoline engines for the 2020 Wrangler include a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, for lower trim level models. A 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 is also available. A six-speed manual transmission comes with the V-6, and an eight-speed automatic is paired with the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

The Willys edition of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler is specifically for off-road use. Its standard equipment includes a limited-slip differential, Rubicon rock rails and shocks, all-terrain tires, part-time four-wheel drive, and heavy-duty brakes. The Willys Wheeler package has the 285-horsepower 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine. Besides the six-speed manual transmission, and five-speed automatic is available. Rubicon rock rails are there to protect rocker panels. The Willys has a ground clearance of 8.7 inches. Also, available half-framed doors improve off-road visibility.

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler has a black grill, a Willys hood decal, tinted windows, and a black dashboard. A Connectivity Group has Sirius XM satellite radio, Bluetooth, and Uconnect. And, there are all-weather floormats and LED headlights. Plus, a 7-inch touchscreen and dual-zone climate control can be had.
